This employer is currently seeking a Paralegal to join their Civil Litigation team. The ideal candidate will bring substantial law firm experience and excel at managing complex cases while supporting multiple attorneys.
Position Overview
Full-time position supporting four Civil Litigation attorneys in a collaborative law firm environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and proven experience in case management and court filings.
Although primary responsibilities will be based in civil litigation, any prior experience in children’s law is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review and summarize medical records
- Draft, prepare, and file court motions and legal documents
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis
- Maintain accurate time records (using Juris or similar software)
- Collaborate effectively with other paralegals and support staff
- Perform general clerical duties as needed
- Manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM OR 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- In-office position
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with attorneys in a law firm setting
- Demonstrated expertise in medical record review and summarization
- Proven experience drafting and filing court motions
- Proficiency with LexisNexis legal research platform
- Outstanding organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) in office
