Responsibilities:
- Serve as the HVAC technical lead on projects ranging from small-scale remodels to large, multi-million-dollar developments.
- Mentor junior engineers, guiding their growth and technical expertise.
- Collaborate with architecture, structural, and electrical teams to create innovative, energy-efficient designs.
- Conduct site visits and lead client meetings, ensuring project requirements are met.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts to deliver high-quality designs.
- Ensure designs comply with codes, regulations, and specifications.
- Oversee construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Ten or more years of HVAC design experience across various project sizes and industries.
- Proficient in HVAC design software (AutoCAD, Revit, energy modeling tools).
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or supervising engineers.
- Excellent communication skills for managing client relationships.
- Willingness to travel between project sites as needed.
