Our client, a prominent leader in its niche manufacturing field, is interviewing candidates to join their team as a Staff Accountant.
This role is responsible for assisting with financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable, vendor and customer account management, and financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will also contribute to audits, tax filings, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with A/R and A/P to process invoices and manage vendor and customer accounts.
- Performing monthly cycle counts across all three subsidiaries.
- Assist with financial audits, sales tax filings, and 1099 preparation.
- Maintain fixed asset ledgers, reconciliations, and purchasing/invoicing systems.
- Support month-end and year-end financial tasks.
- Organize and analyze financial data for reporting.
- Implement and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Assist in intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliations.
- Complete vendor requests for credit profiles, W-9s, and exemption certificates.
- Provide support for special projects and department-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Associate’s degree with additional experience considered).
- Experience in manufacturing and/or multi-entity accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dooap preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze financial data.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
